The industry’s overall hiring an increased by 0.8% in May 2021 compared with April 2021.
Out of the technology industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 23.99% share in May 2021, recording an increase of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 95.97% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US technology industry in May 2021.

Top five technology companies in the US IT recruitment activity in May 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 26.73% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US technology industry during May 2021 over April 2021.
International Business Machines posted 1,289 IT jobs in May 2021 and registered a rise of 5.57% over the previous month, followed by AT&T with 952 jobs and a 96.69% growth. Dell Technologies with 734 IT jobs and HCL Technologies with 677 jobs, recorded an 8.59% drop and a 42.83% increase, respectively, while Capgemini recorded a 56.74% an increase with 663 job postings during May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.05%, up by 0.73% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with a 26.93% share, a growth of 11.4% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.25% share, up 22.04% over April 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.77%, recording a month-on-month decline of 23.21%.
