The value marked an increase of 278.8% over the previous month of $1.84bn and a drop of 3.6% when compared with the last 12-month average of $7.23bn.
Europe held a 7.04% share of the global technology industry M&A deal value that totalled $98.98bn in May 2022. With a 5.13% share and deals worth $5.08bn, the UK was the top country in Europe’s M&A deal value across technology industry.
In terms of M&A deal activity, Europe recorded 200 deals during May 2022, marking a decrease of 2.91% over the previous month and a drop of 9.50% over the 12-month average. The UK recorded 59 deals during the month.
