Japan-based company Nippon Telegraph and Telephone’s IT hiring rose 13.2% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 10.49% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 41.51% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.01% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Nippon Telegraph and Telephone IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 66.31% in August 2021, and a 13.11% rise over July 2021, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 18.36% in August 2021, and registered growth of 29.49%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 7.45% in August 2021, a 10.4% drop from July 2021.

North America emerged as the leading region in the global technology IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 46.42% share, which marked a 31.97% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 44.31%, registering a 6.71% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 6.54% share and a 31.31% drop over July 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.26% and a month-on-month increase of 46.88%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.43%, registering a 350% rise over the previous month.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s technology industry IT hiring activity with a 43.39% share in August 2021, a 6.61% growth over July 2021. US featured next with a 37.05% share, up 34.55% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 6.34% share, an increase of 37.5% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Nippon Telegraph and Telephone IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.42%, up by 7.9% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 27.97% share, a growth of 18.53% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.42% share, up 30.43% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.2%, recording a month-on-month increase of 31.58%.
