The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 22.45% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 55.42% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 3.22% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops International Business Machines IT hiring in September 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by International Business Machines, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 91.08% in September 2021, and a 25.79% rise over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 4.28% in September 2021, and registered growth of 30.8%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 2.56% in September 2021, a 34.06% rise from August 2021.

North America emerged as the leading region in the global technology IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 71.52% share, which marked a 231.07% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 21.8%, registering a 58.64% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 4.93% share and a 66.05% rise over August 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.24% and a month-on-month decline of 8.16%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.48%, registering a 59.09% rise over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s technology industry IT hiring activity with a 70.3% share in September 2021, a 246.97% growth over August 2021. India featured next with an 18.4% share, down 63.07% over the previous month. China recorded a 1.45% share, an increase of 15.38% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead International Business Machines IT hiring activity in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.25%, up by 29.98% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 39.97% share, a growth of 17.88% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.62% share, up 59.61% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.15%, recording a month-on-month increase of 450%.
