As of 2021 there are 3.1 million students in tertiary education in Ukraine, with 4.1 million students in secondary and 1.7 million in primary education. Ukraine spent 5.3% of its GDP on education in 2019.

Ukraine ranked 64th in the World Bank’s Doing Business Report (2020). In the 2019 report it finished 71st. In the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report (2019), Ukraine finished 85th, after ranking 85th in 2018.
