Despite a rise in awareness of the dangers of sun damage to the skin the number of people diagnosed with melanoma is expected to rise in both men and women between now and 2026.

In the so-called seven major markets (US, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, and Australia) melanoma — the skin deadliest form of skin cancer — will grow at a rate of 2.48 percent through to 2026.

All markets in this forecast are expected to see an increase in the number of incident melanoma cases, although the US and Australia are anticipated to have significantly higher growth than the 5EU (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK).
