Style / Ambiance: A terrace overlooking the Princess Grace Rose Garden sets the scene for this charming little brasserie.
To have a meal on the terrace during a balmy Monaco evening is both heavenly and romantic as dusk slowly falls over this garden inaugurated by Prince Rainier in the memory of Princess Grace. The cuisine at the Brasserie is fresh, seasonal and inspired by French Provencal and Italian recipes with the odd hint of Asian influence. The wine list is perfectly suited to match this exotic menu and the walls are lined with champagne for those with an extra cause for celebration.

Style / Ambiance: Creative and original, Elsa has gone down a storm in Monte Carlo since Chef Jean Claude Brugel and his team took the helm.
Dishes such as warm anchoiade, sea bream carpaccio, asparagus and fennel served tartar-style are delicately made using the finest and freshest fish. Dessert menus are devoted to macaroons, but also include delights such as Provençal apricots in puff pastry and chilled quenelle with honey and fromage blanc. Despite its sumptuous menu, Elsa is slightly more casual than most gourmet restaurants in Monaco, its simple elegance and discreet service. It has been infected, perhaps, with a touch of the Beach Club’s leisureliness.

LE GRILL DE L’HÔTEL DE PARIS

Style / Ambiance: On the top floor of the Hôtel de Paris, Le Grill has a sliding roof that reveals not only the Rivera’s skies but also panoramic views of the principality.
But it is the cuisine that is the main appeal of Le Grill, it has, after all, been awarded a Michelin Star. Though the menu retains Le Grill’s classics such as the legendary soufflé, it is adapted to what is available at local markets. Lunch and dinner are never the same at Le Grill, the menu aside; cool romantic candlelit dinners replace the lively ambiance of business lunches.

LE VISTAMAR EXECUTIVE

Style / Ambiance: After a complete transformation, Le Vistamar reopened in Hôtel Hermitage in September 2010 with a slick interior and new menu.
Chef Joël Garault earned his reputation by emphasizing the joy of fresh locally caught fish, for example the rockfish soup made from fish caught by Gerard Rinaldi, the last of Monaco’s fishing families, or linecaught sea bass grilled in embers, garnished with sweet’n’sour pumpkin or wrapped in salt dough with saffron-flavored tapioca and a dash of pesto. Diners can explore this fresh approach to seafood with à la carte, set or taster menus which culminate in beautiful hot dessert soufflés. There is also the Salon Privé, a secluded dining room that boasts a separate entrance and seating for 12 guests.

Style / Ambiance: Joël Robuchon is the world’s most ‘starred’ chef having now earned a staggering 26 of these prestigious Michelin awards.
Monte Carlo accounts for two of these stars, impressing the judges with Mediterranean dishes such as the langoustine ravioli with truffles and quail caramelized with apple purée and truffles. This dining experience is enhanced by the open kitchen and its elaborate counter around which guests dine while watching their next course being cooked by executive chef Christophe Cussac.

BUDDHA BAR MONTE CARLO

Style / Ambiance: Buddha Bars worldwide have introduced elite diners into a new and sophisticated experience.
The Monte Carlo Buddha Bar has been doing so since its opening in July 2010 in the Casino de Monte Carlo. It has brought something exotic into an old world atmosphere, and not merely the giant Buddha overlooking the tables: the cuisine is an amalgamation of sushi, Chinese and Thai food. Music is a big part of a Buddha dining experience; DJs entertain diners until late with their world famous tunes while you either sip cocktails in the lounge or eat under the watchful eyes of the big Buddha.
