Kaspersky, a provider of antivirus and cybersecurity solutions, has opened a new office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The new office forms part of a wider growth strategy that will see the company extend its products to 400 million users and 240,000 corporate clients globally.

Mohamad Hashem, country manager for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain at Kaspersky, explained: “Saudi Arabia continues to be a priority market for Kaspersky in the region. As the country moves forward in its innovation and digital-first agenda at great speed, there is a need for a strong cybersecurity posture.

“Our presence, commitment and focus in Saudi Arabia is on giving organisations in the country the power, expertise and knowledge to deliver on their promise to keep their customers and citizens protected.”

The investment aligns with Saudi Arabia recently ranking first in cybersecurity readiness in the Middle East and North Africa, according to the Global Cybersecurity Index. Kaspersky was established in 1997 and is headquartered in Moscow, Russia. The company operates in 200 countries and territories and has 35 offices worldwide.
