The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 17.65% in May 2021 when compared with April 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 46.85% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2021, and recorded a 1.73% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops International Business Machines IT hiring in May 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by International Business Machines, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 84.34% in May 2021, and a 13.32% growth over April 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 7.91% in May 2021, and registered a 12.2% an increase. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 4.03% in May 2021, a 7.05% drop from April 2021.

Europe stood next with 38.43%, registering a 7.7% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 15.66% share and a 40.65% growth over April 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 6.16% and a month-on-month an increase of 35.37%.Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.06%, registering a 5.56% rise over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s technology industry IT hiring activity with a 35.8% share in May 2021, a 5.57% growth over April 2021. Romania featured next with a 19.58% share, up 31.53% over the previous month.Italy recorded a 9.14% share, an increase of 3.13% compared with April 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead International Business Machines IT hiring activity in May 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.12%, up by 13.44% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.94% share, a growth of 20.92% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 3.8% share, down 33.5% over April 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.14%, recording a month-on-month an increase of 150%.
