After a generous breakfast in Côté Jardin overlooking the sea, enjoy a walk along the harbor towards the old town of Monaco.
Visit the Oceanographic Museum, and the Cathedral of Monaco, where many choose to pay a solemn visit to the tomb of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace. Visit the Palace Square to watch the changing of the guard (from April to October). A taxi can take you to the beautiful medieval village of Eze, where the perfume factory is a fascinating place to visit. PATRICK TREBBIANI
CHIEF CONCIERGE, COLUMBUS HOTEL
Arrive in Monaco by helicopter from Nice Airport and catch a full view of the Principality as you circle to land.
Then settle down at the Columbus Monte Carlo facing the Princess Grace Rose Garden, with a view to the sea in a quiet and green environment. Start the day by visiting the Old Town on the Rock where you can find the Oceanographic Museum, the Cathedral and the changing of the guard in front of the Palace. Eat lunch in one of the typical little restaurants in the old town surrounding the Palace. In the afternoon, stroll along the main harbor, the pit lane of the famous Formula 1 Grand Prix and enjoy a coffee on the Café de Paris terrace, to watch those coming and going from the Casino. In the evening, why not visit the Casino yourself and try your luck at a few of the games? The second day in Monaco can be more relaxed: enjoy the beach at Larvotto, visit one of the interesting Exhibitions at Grimaldi Forum, or go to the Exotic Garden for a stunning view over the Principality.
Enjoy a drink from the Café Llorca, the newly opened and trendy café inside the Grimaldi Forum with incredible sea views.
